Filmmaker Kiran Rao attended Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare‘s wedding in Udaipur. She recently revealed that she wore a special saree, which belonged to her mother and was over 60 years old, to Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta’s daughter’s wedding. However, Kiran missed attending Ira and Nupur’s wedding reception in Mumbai.
In her recent interview with NDTV, Kiran revealed that she had planned to wear a designer Raw Mango saree for the reception but had to cancel her attendance as she tested positive for Covid-19.”The rest, I just genuinely wanted to keep it easy because as a family, we are like chill and we like being relaxed and we are not very formal people,” she added.
Kiran also shared insights into her wardrobe choices for Ira’s wedding. She explained that she had initially intended to wear the saree to her own wedding but ended up wearing white, a Kerala saree, on that occasion.

“It was my mother’s saree. I had never worn it. I had got it thinking I will wear it to my wedding, where I wore white, a Kerala saree,” Kiran shared. She further mentioned that due to her busy schedule with post-production work on her film, she hadn’t given much thought to her attire for Ira’s wedding until just a few days before the event.

Ira and Nupur tied the knot in Udaipur in January, followed by a star-studded reception in Mumbai. The couple’s engagement took place in November 2022, where Nupur proposed to Ira during his participation in Ironman Italy. Nupur Shikhare, a fitness trainer known for his work with celebrities like Aamir Khan and Sushmita Sen, has now joined the Khan family through this joyful union with Ira.
