NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Ahmed might have ruled out any misunderstanding between the players but a video that emerged on the social media suggested that all is not well within the camp.
A video that went viral on social media captured former captain Sarfaraz engaging in a heated argument with teammate Saud Shakeel during a training session.
“For how long will I continue to be of use to you?” Shakeel questioned.

Sarfaraz retorted, stating, “You won’t be of any use to me. To begin with, I never instructed you to do anything. I never requested you to make a swap. I swapped with the person I intended to.”
Shakeel countered, saying, “You still made the swap, so I was beneficial to you.”
Pakistan are gearing up to take on Australia in a three-match Test series, commencing on December 14 in Perth. The Pakistani team is presently in Canberra, preparing for a 4-day game scheduled for December 9 against the Australian PM XI as part of their preparations leading up to the series.
Ahead of the clash, Sarfaraz dispelled the lack of chemistry among the players and said as quoted from Geo News, “Shan Masood is taking along all the players very well and he has a good bonding with Mohammad Hafeez. Babar’s role has also been very good as I observed in the camp. He is very involved in the team and he helps the skipper in making plans for the team.”
“Our target is to win the series while the individual goal is to give the best in batting and keeping whatever the opportunity is given. When you play cricket, you are prepared for whatever role is given to you. Rizwan and I will try to fulfill whatever role is given to us,” Sarfaraz added.
