Tension has escalated after two motorbike-borne unidentified persons opened fire outside Salman Khan‘s house in Bandra early Sunday morning. The Mumbai police have registered an FIR and also recovered a two-wheeler, suspected to have been used by the duo, a little over a kilometre from the actor’ home.
On Sunday evening, Raj Thackeray along with Baba Siddique’s son Zeeshan Siddique were seen arriving at Salman’s Galaxy Apartments.Earlier in the day, Salman’s brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, reached there to support their family members. Arbaaz’s wife Sshura Khan along his son Arhaan Khan were also seen visiting the superstar.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke with Salman in the wake of the firing and assured support saying the state government would not allow anybody to take the law into their hands.
According to the Bandra police official, two persons fired four rounds outside Bandra’s Galaxy Apartments, where the actor resides, around 5 am and fled from the spot. Security outside Khan’s residence was stepped up after the firing.

The local police, crime branch personnel and a team of forensic experts reached the spot to collect evidence, including footage of the CCTV cameras installed near the actor’s house, and started a probe into the incident, the official said.
There was no official word from the police or Khan’s family on whether the actor was present in the house at the time of the incident.

Lawrence Bishnoi‘s brother Anmol Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for this firing in his Facebook post. He wrote, “We want peace. If the only decision against oppression is war, then so be it. Salman Khan, we have only shown you a trailer so that you understand the magnitude of our strength and do not test it. This is the first and last warning. After this, shots will not be fired outside the house only. And we have dogs named after Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel, whom you consider to be Gods. Now, I don’t have the habit of talking much.”
In March last year, an e-mail threatening Khan was received at his office following which the Mumbai police registered an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar and another person under IPC sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention).
In June 2022, an unidentified person threatened Khan via a handwritten note, they said.
