RAIPUR: Union minister Ramdas Athawale announced full support to BJP on all 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh and criticised Rahul Gandhi and INDI alliance for false claims against the central govt. He emphasised BJP’s commitment to Constitution and dismissed democracy jeopardy allegations while predicting strong BJP performance in southern states and PM Modi’s third term.
During his visit to Raipur on Friday, Athawale criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.He accused the INDI alliance of spreading false claims against the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Athawale emphasized that the BJP-led NDA government is committed to fortifying the Constitution and dismissed allegations of democracy being in jeopardy. He asserted that the Congress and INDI alliance are engaging in unfounded rhetoric.
Speaking at a press conference in Raipur, Athawale highlighted the Congress’s past actions of imposing an emergency and making numerous arbitrary amendments to the Constitution. He praised PM Modi’s government for applying the Indian Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir by revoking Article 370 and handing over control to the Army to combat terrorism. Athawale criticized Rahul Gandhi for allegedly dividing Dalits and Muslims and accused him of playing caste politics.
He mocked the ‘Coalition of Thugs’ opposing Modi, stating that the NDA allies are united under PM Modi’s leadership. Athawale affirmed his party’s support for the BJP in Chhattisgarh and criticized a Congress candidate for making inappropriate remarks about the prime minister. Addressing concerns about EVMs, Athawale pointed out Congress’s previous victories in states like Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh and questioned their sudden skepticism after recent losses.
He mentioned the impartial actions of investigative agencies and highlighted the increasing support for BJP among political and social workers. Athawale predicted a strong performance by the BJP-led NDA in southern states in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He expressed confidence in PM Modi securing a third term as prime minister.
