NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday released its 10th list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The list featured candidates from Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Chandigarh.
Former PM Chandra Shekhar’s son Neeraj Shekhar, a Rajya Sabha MP, has been fielded from Ballia. SS Ahluwalia is set to take on former actor Shatrughan Sinha of TMC from Asansol.
Paras Nath Rai has been fielded from the Ghazipur seat in Uttar Pradesh.
Neeraj Tripathi, son of late Kesari Nath Tripathi, a veteran BJP leader, has replaced sitting MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi from the Allahabad seat.
Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held in 7 phases from April 19.
The counting will be done on June 4.
