On the latest episode of Kiska Brand Bajega, Mrunal Thakur delved into the unexpected journey of signing and experiencing immense success and appreciation for her film Sita Ramam.
During the conversation, when asked about her expectations at the time of signing the movie and whether she anticipated the level of success and appreciation she received, Mrunal admitted she had not expected it.
When she initially signed on for the movie, Mrunal had no hint of the immense popularity or praise it would garner. “No, I didn’t. When I was signing the movie, a lot of people were not aware initially. The film gained traction only after its release in Telugu. You know, before the release, the buzz, you know what they say about ‘buzz’,” she stated.

Recalling her experience of watching the movie in a theatre with the audience on opening day, she said, “I prayed so hard, and when the film came out, people just went crazy. I didn’t even know. I was actually watching the movie for the first time in the theatre with the audience on the first day, first show. Never think when you sign a film whether it will be popular or not. I only sign it because I see that, like I treat all my characters as my lovers. I love them. Whenever the film is done, I feel it is like a breakup.”

On the work front, Mrunal is earning acclaim for her performance in Family Star, alongside Vijay Deverakonda in the titular role. The film’s cast includes Ravi Babu, Abhinaya, Vasuki, and Rohini Hattangadi.
