After successfully conquering the world of Punjabi music and the film industry, Diljit made an impactful debut in Bollywood debut with ‘Udta Punjab.’ And since then, he has been making waves in both Bollywood and Pollywood. However, despite the audience enjoying his work on the big screen, a recent example is the success of ‘Crew,’ Diljit Dosanjh candidly confessed acting is not something that he believes he is too good at.
During an interview with Film Companion, the singer-actor mentioned that acting is a distinct craft and it is not his forte. According to him, he lacks the necessary qualities to be an actor. He considers an acting project when the opportunity aligns with his skills and interests. He adds, his main focus is music.

Imtiaz Ali on the upcoming biopic: Diljit Dosanjh brought on Amar Singh Chamkila

Highlighting the chaos involved in filmmaking and confessing about his relationship with the lens, Diljit mentioned there have been times he lost awareness of the camera being around, it is almost like second nature to him. On the other hand, when he becomes conscious of cameras, he finds it very insincere and superficial. Navigating through the chaos of the sets, the sound of equipment, and the crew is an art and one who has mastered the same is remarkable in the eyes of Diljit.
Meanwhile, next on Diljit Dosanjh’s plate is ‘Chamkila,’ a biopic on the infamous singer Amar Singh Chamkila, directed by Imtiaz Ali. It is slated to release on OTT on 12 April. Thereafter, in June the Punjabi audience will catch him on the big screen with ‘Jatt & Juliet 3.’
