NEW DELHI: Sunrisers Hyderabad’s young batsman Abhishek Sharma displayed his magnificent batting skills during the IPL 2024 match against Chennai Super Kings.
Following CSK‘s posting of 165 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s openers Abhishek and Travis Head provided the Orange Army with a blazing start. The duo amassed 46 runs for the opening partnership in just 2.3 overs.
After facing two deliveries in the opening over bowled by pacer Deepak Chahar, Abhishek accelerated his innings, smashing three sixes and two boundaries off Mukesh Choudhary‘s over.
The left-hander’s onslaught didn’t stop there.
He continued his aggressive batting by hitting a boundary and a six off Chahar’s next over.
However, his fireworks came to an end when Chahar dismissed him for 37 runs. His innings was studded with three fours and four sixes.
