Farhan Akhtar is known for bringing in a certain new wave of cinema with ‘Dil Chahta Hai‘ which continues to remain iconic till date. All the characters in the movie along with its moments continue to remain memorable. But did you know that Farhan took inspiration from his own life’s moment for Saif Ali Khan‘s break-up scene in the movie?
Suchitra Pillai played Saif’s girlfriend and their moments were hilarious.Farhan was recently promoting his upcoming production ‘Madgaon Express‘ directed by Kunal Kemmu. Farhan revealed in an interview that he was dumped by one of his girlfriends in Goa. He told India Today, “The most horribly wrong experience was during one of my trips to Goa. Some girl I was dating at that time, dumped me while we were there. I got dumped and drove back myself. So that was the most lonely drive back I have ever been in my life.”
He further added that it was a very sad moment. “When you are going with somebody, you feel so cool… ‘me and my girlfriend are on the road’. And then you have to come back all alone. The playlist changes completely (from your way up). That was one memorable experience for sure,” said Farhan.
On work front, Farhan is gearing up to begin shooting for ‘Don 3‘ which he will direct. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani. Meanwhile, Farhan also revealed that he’s set to begin a project as an actor as well. “I am starting a film in July as an actor and I want to focus on that only,” said the actor-director-singer.
