Apple has launched its new MacBook Air M3 in India at a starting price of Rs 1,14,900. Alongside the announcement, the company has slashed the price of the previous-generation model — MacBook Air M2.
After the price cut, the MacBook Air M2 now starts at Rs 99,900 which is around Rs 14,000 cheaper compared to the new M3-powered MacBook Air M3.
What you get for Rs 14,000 more with MacBook Air M3
At its core, both the M2 and M3 models share several similarities, including the sleek and lightweight design, the 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone technology, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and the convenient MagSafe 3 charging port.Additionally, they both feature two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and a Force Touch trackpad.
The primary distinction lies in the processing power and graphics capabilities. The newer MacBook Air comes with an M3 chipset which, in comparison to the M2 chip, offers overall improved CPU, GPU and NPU performance. The main difference is the newer chipset between the two MacBooks.
Another difference between the MacBook Air M2 and MacBook Air M3 is the Wi-Fi chip, the MacBook Air M3 comes with Wi-Fi 6E and the MacBook Air M2 comes with Wi-Fi 6. In comparison, the 6E is a relatively newer Wi-Fi standard and claims to offer better connectivity and range.
