Sania expressed that the period surrounding her marriage to Shoaib Malik was challenging due to the media attention and rumors. However, she emphasized that love overshadowed these difficulties, as both she and Shoaib were deeply committed to each other and their families supported their decision to marry.

Sania added that despite the challenges and scrutiny surrounding their marriage, tying the knot with Shoaib Malik was one of the happiest moments for them. Despite facing criticism and difficulties, they chose to focus on the joy of being together and looked forward to sharing their lives. She recalled cherishing the positive aspects of that period more than dwelling on the negatives.
During the interview, Sania was asked about the likenesses and disparities between India and Pakistan. She acknowledged that while both nations share similarities and differences, she personally noticed cultural distinctions more keenly due to her South Indian background. Sania noted that individuals from Delhi might find fewer disparities, as the city shares similarities with Lahore, the capital of Pakistan.

The day after Shoaib Malik publicly announced his marriage to Sana Javed, Sania Mirza released a statement through her sister Anam’s Instagram account, revealing that she and Shoaib had been separated for some time. Sania’s father, Imran Mirza, also confirmed that his daughter had initiated the separation from the Pakistani cricketer by taking a khula.
