Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani tied the knot on February 21 in Goa. The couple had two ceremonies imbibing both their cultures.One was an Anand Karaj ceremony and the other was a Punjabi wedding. The couple ditched their international destination wedding for a desi shaadi at a luxurious resort in Goa. Earlier, they were supposed to tie the knot in UAE but later shifted the venue to India going by PM Narendra Modi‘s advice to influential people to have their functions in India.
Meanwhile, now as they are married, PM Modi has written a letter to the couple, thus congratulating them for their wedding. He also expressed gratitude for inviting him. The letter was addressed to Jackky’s parents, Puja and Vashu Bhagnani and it read, “As Jackky and Rakul commence the journey of trust and togetherness for a lifetime, heartiest congratulations and greetings to them on the auspicious occasion of their wedding. The years to come are an opportunity for the couple to discover each other, while also embarking together on the path of self-discovery.”

The letter further said, “May the couple’s hearts, minds and actions be one. Being there by each other’s side at all times, holding each other’s hands in their quest to realize their dreams and aspirations, assuming responsibilities thoughtfully and affectionately, may the groom and the bride be perfect partners in the voyage of life by accepting each other’s imperfections and learning from each other’s virtues.”
Concluding the letter, the PM said, “Heartfelt gratitude for inviting me to the wedding ceremony. I once again extend my greetings and best wishes for the momentous occasion.”
Rakul and Jackky both shared this letter and expressed, “Thank you so much honourable PM Narendra Modi ji. Your blessings mean a lot to us as we embark on this new journey.”
