Shahid Kapoor completed 20 years in the business this year, having started with Ishq Vishk in 2003. In all these years, the actor has delivered numerous hits like Vivah, Jab We Met, Kaminey, R… Rajkumar, Kabir Singh and many more.

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Shahid Kapoor reflected on his illustrious journey and shared that his habit of over-thinking has changed with time.He said, “You have to allow your talent and instinct to lead. Logic cannot be at the forefront of creativity, but has to support it. Creativity has to flow with abandon and freedom. Earlier, I used to trap myself in my thoughts. Now my thoughts help me move ahead without any fear. Once I have my doubts cleared I like to fly .. I don’t want to think while I’m doing the shot. I like things to be very organic. Earlier I used to think a lot, even during the shot I would over-think.”
And one thing that hasn’t changed in these 20 years is his love for cinema, admitted Shahid, “I love what I do and my love for it has only increased. I feel I have invested so many years in it that my relationship has become stronger, it has become deeper and I’m just not ready to let go of it.”
The actor’s latest release Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with Kriti Sanon opened to Rs 6.5 crore on day 1.
