PATNA: Slamming Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for skipping the ED summons, Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday said that the AAP chief should face the situation instead of running away.
“The state in which scam is all around, be it medicine or liquor. The CM which claims that this is a common men’s party then how come he becomes so special…Instead of running away, he should face the situation… If the CM spends 60 crores in household luxury that’ll be questioned and hence people are asking,” Giriraj Singh told ANI.
On Rahul Gandhi’s statement regarding the political situation in Jharkhand, he said, “BJP wants to destabilize? If we would have intended to destabilize things how Champai Soren had taken the oath of Chief Minister.”
Delhi Police Crime Branch on Sunday served a fresh notice on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, asking him to respond to his charges of poaching attempts by the BJP with evidence by Monday.
Delhi minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi expressed skepticism regarding the nature of the notice served by the crime branch in connection with the poaching claim case on Sunday, highlighting that it lacked clarity.
Atishi stated, “This morning around six officials from the Crime Branch came to my house, waited for 2-3 hours, and repeatedly went in and out. They had come to give a crime branch notice and wanted to hand it to me directly.”
“This notice is very interesting. It is neither an FIR nor a summons. It does not have sections of IPC, CrPC, PMLA, or the Prevention of Corruption Act,” Atishi added.
She mocked that the Delhi Police gave her and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a “letter”.
The sleuths from the Crime Branch were at Atishi’s residence to serve a notice on the Delhi Education Minister in connection with the Aam Aadmi Party’s allegation that the BJP was trying to poach its MLAs through hefty monetary inducements as part of ‘Operation Lotus 2.0’.
Atishi, earlier, claimed that the BJP approached several AAP MLAs with bribes and threats in a bid to get them on their side.
