NEW DELHI: As the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra entered its second day in Jharkhand on Saturday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “Narendra Modi is Adani‘s capital.”
Addressing a gathering in the Godda district, Gandhi said, “If the name ‘Adani’ is mentioned in India, people understand it in a second. Narendra Modi is his capital.”
Highlighting the Land Tribunal Bill introduced by the Congress, Gandhi remarked, “We brought the Land Tribunal Bill.Prime Minister Modi cancelled the Land Tribunal Bill.” “Injustice is being done to everyone. Justice for Adani. And injustice is being done to the rest of the people,” he added.

During his Bihar visit, Gandhi criticized the Modi-Adani nexus and said, “Land is taken from you and given as a gift to big industrialists like Adani.” “You are pressured when it comes to fertilisers and seeds, and money is taken away from you,” he had said.
He further took a dig at the BJP and the RSS, saying, “People of BJP, RSS are spreading hatred across the country,” and added, “the Congress and its allies will open ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukan’ no matter how much hatred they spread.”
Emphasizing the impact of the Yatra, state Congress president Rajesh Thakur said, “Several people are losing their mental balance as Rahul Gandhi enters Jharkhand.”
Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Baba Baidyanath Dham Darshan in Deoghar, Jharkhand later on Saturday.
The Yatra, which began in Manipur on January 14, will cover 804 km, traversing 13 districts of the state over eight days in two phases.
The date for the second phase of the Yatra is yet to be decided.
