It has been less than a week since Hrithik Roshan released his action film ‘Fighter’, and ETimes has learned that the actor is set to commence work on his next.
Roshan is set to kick off work on the highly-anticipated sequel of ‘WAR’. We have learned that the actor will be back in front of the cameras in a matter of days as the film goes on floors in the second week of February. The actor, who got into fit and fighting form for ‘Fighter’, has already gone into ‘WAR 2‘ mode and begun rigorous prep for the shoot.
The first schedule of the film is slated to be shot entirely in Mumbai. A reliable source disclosed, “Ayan Mukerji has already captured overseas location plates approximately two months ago. Currently, a set is under construction in the city in preparation for Hrithik’s first shooting schedule.”‘WAR’, which was released in 2019, was a box office hit. The film directed by Sidharth Anand, scored an impressive Rs 475 crore in the domestic market, making it one of the most successful films. For the sequel, director Siddharth has passed on the baton to ‘Brahmastra’ director Ayan Mukerji.
The film will reportedly see South superstar Jr NTR playing the role of the antagonist opposite Hrithik, who will be getting back into his super-spy character for the next chapter of the action entertainer. Interestingly, this film is not only the next chapter of the YRF spy universe but it is rumoured to have a direct link with Salman Khan‘s ‘Tiger 3’ and Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘Pathaan’. The movie will reportedly set the ball rolling for the highly anticipated ‘Tiger vs Pathaan‘ which was announced before ‘WAR 2’.
