In a leak ahead of its anticipated March launch in China, Xiaomi is expected to introduce the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Mix Flip smartphones. The leak, originating from Weibo, reveals a detailed glimpse into the camera module of the 14 Ultra, showcasing a design reminiscent of its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
The leaked image highlights the “VARIO-SUMMILUX 1:1.63-2.5/12-120 ASPH” text and the presence of “Leica” branding within the camera module, providing key insights into the 14 Ultra’s main and periscope telephoto cameras.Particularly noteworthy is the SUMMILUX lens, expected to boast an impressive aperture range from f/1.63 to f/2.5. With a potential maximum aperture of f/1.63, coupled with the 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900, the main camera promises remarkable performance, hinting at the adoption of a variable aperture design.
Moreover, the periscope telephoto lens, with a focal length of 120mm, is set for an upgrade, moving from the f/3.0 aperture in the previous generation 13 Ultra to a faster f/2.5. This enhancement signifies a substantial leap in lens technology, promising increased light capture capabilities for the camera system.
While the leaked image suggests a quad-camera system for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, specific camera details remain unknown at this point. Under the hood, the device is expected to house the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, coupled with up to 16 GB of RAM and offering storage options up to 1 TB with UFS 4.0.
Battery specifications reveal a robust 5180mAh capacity for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, complemented by 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support. Operating on the HyperOS-based Android 14, this upcoming iteration from Xiaomi combines cutting-edge camera technology with formidable hardware, promising a noteworthy addition to the smartphone market.
