Google’s next flagship phone series Google Pixel 9 may see a design change. According to the leakster OnLeaks, Google Pixel 9 may come with some design changes. As per the renders leaked, Google’s Pixel 9 Pro flagship smartphone may come with completely flat edges framing the phone.
Incidentally, as per the leaks this is not the only design change. The other design changes on this phone include a redesigned rear camera bar. Instead of stretching the camera bar across the entire width of the phone, the renders show the three-camera setup placed inside a bulging, oval-shaped island. This is similar to the one in Google’s foldable smartphone, Pixel Fold. Pictures that have surfaced also suggest a slightly smaller 6.5-inch display, down from 6.7 inch in the current-generation Google Pixel 8 Pro.
For those unaware, the camera bar is one of the most significant design features of Google Pixel series since the year 2021 when the company launched Google Pixel 6 series. The design gives Pixel phones’ back a unique design
Also, similar to Pixel 8 Pro, it appears that the Pixel 9 Pro also has the power button and volume rocker on the right side of the device. Google is also reported to have changed the placement of the SIM card, however, which now appears to be on the bottom of the device alongside the USB-C port.
Google Pixel 9 series launch
Google Pixel 9 series is likely to launch in October this year. Google holds a fall event where it launches its flagship Pixel series. It is likely that the company may also launch successor of its first foldable phone Google Pixel Fold along with Google Pixel 9 and Google Pixel 9 Pro smartphones.
