WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature which will make it easier for the users to transfer and share files. As reported by WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned app is working on a new file sharing feature with people nearby.
After announcing a new feature to allow users to share files 2GB in size, WhatsApp is now exploring additional functionalities designed to enable users to share files with ease.
As per the report, the WhatsApp beta testers will soon be able to use the are feature to easily share files. According to the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp users need to open this section to send and receive files, ensuring secure sharing within close proximity. Shaking the device seems necessary to trigger a share request, ensuring a controlled method for exchanging files. It’s crucial to emphasize that the sharing process is secured with end-to-end encryption. This ensures the safety of shared files, even when outside a WhatsApp chat and in an unfamiliar network setting.
