AYODHYA: Nobel Peace Laureate and activist Kailash Satyarthi arrived in Ayodhya on Monday to commemorate the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Pran Pratishtha Day and called it a ‘historic day‘.
Expressing his excitement, Satyarthi said, “The world becomes free of violence and war – that is our responsibility…This is the message of Ayodhya…This is definitely a historic day…”
Satyarthi also spoke about the significance of Lord Ram and said, “Lord Ram was Dasharatha’s son, Kausalya’s son, Sita’s husband, and king of Ayodhya. He was a great man who reached the pinnacle of human ideal. When we worship him, the most important challenge is the challenge within us that we should live the ideals of compassion, justice and general brotherhood established by Lord Ram in our lives”
Chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra expressed his belief that the Pran Pratishtha ceremony would mark the beginning of Ram Rajya (the reign of Lord Ram) and bring an end to all inequalities.
The Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla took place on January 22. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and other dignitaries. To mark the occasion, army helicopters showered flowers on Ayodhya, and 30 artists played various Indian musical instruments during the Aarti at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
Representatives from major spiritual and religious sects in the country, as well as people from various tribal communities,were present at the historic Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
