TIRUPATI: The world renowned Tirupati trust has immersed itself in the preparation of one lakh laddus meant to be distributed among the devotees attending the Ayodhya Ram mandir consecration ceremony on January 22.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust which administers the affairs of the richest Hindu temple of Lord Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala recently announced its plans of distributing a whopping one lakh world famous Tirupati laddus among the devotees from across the globe who would be attending the Ram mandir consecration ceremony at Ayodhya.
In accordance with its decision, the Tirupati trust led by in-charge executive officer V Veerabrahmam has begun the preparation of one lakh laddus.
According to Veerabrahmam, about 350 Srivari sevak volunteers are involved in the preparation of one lakh laddus under the supervision of TTD’s temple kitchen workers and officers.
“Lord Sri Ram and Lord Venkateswara are both incarnations of Sri Maha Vishnu and thus our trust led by chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and EO AV Dharma Reddy decided to distribute one lakh Tirupati laddus at Ayodhya temple on the sidelines of the historic consecration ceremony which will be held on January 22″, Veerabrahmam added.
TTD sources said that each laddu would weigh about 25 grams and that they would be packed with utmost care to be eventually distributed among the Ram bhakts.
The Tirupati trust plans to dispatch the one lakh laddus from Tirumala on January 20, two days before the Ayodhya Ram mandir consecration ceremony.
