At the Galaxy Unpacked event held in San Jose, California, Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its flagship smartphone — Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a Titanium body and many new AI-powered features, like Live Translate, Interpreter, Note Assist, AI editing, etc, clubbed under “Galaxy AI”.
Apart from these, Galaxy S24 Ultra also features an improved camera setup with the ProVisual Engine and the new 50MP 5x telephoto sensor.

Key features

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra features a similar design to the Galaxy S23 Ultra but has a flat display and matte-finish side rails. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is the first Galaxy smartphone to feature a titanium body.
The phone features a 6.8-inch flat display with narrow bezels on all sides, including the chin. Moreover, the new display has 2600 nits of peak brightness and is protected by Gorilla Glass Armour, exclusively designed for the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung says it’s more durable and has 75% reduced reflection for a better viewing experience in all sorts of lighting conditions. The display supports Vision Booster and comes with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. The chipset powers the entire AI features that run on the devices as a part of the Galaxy AI suite. Galaxy S24 Ultra also comes with an optimal thermal control system with 1.9 times bigger vapour chamber for the best possible sustained performance.
In terms of camera, Galaxy S24 Ultra boasts an all-new 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and OIS. Other sensors remain unchanged from before which include the primary 200MP wide camera with OIS, a 10MP 3x telephoto camera with OIS and a 12MP Ultrawide camera. At the front, there’s the dual-pixel 12MP sensor.
Galaxy S24 series comes with ProVisual Engine, a comprehensive suite of AI-powered tools that transform image capturing abilities of the phones. Galaxy S24 Ultra also comes with Quad Tele System and Adaptive Pixel technology that enables zoom levels starting from 2x to 10x.
with the new 5x optical zoom lens, allowing users to zoom in and out in multiple levels from 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x. Samsung has also updated the ISP to offer faster and reliable image processing and reduce blurs and retain details even in low light conditions.
There’s also a new Super HDR feature that’s aimed at offering real-time preview of HDR shots before capturing them. Also, the new camera system integrates with the mobile apps in HDR to improve the overall quality of shared photos.
Talking about Galaxy AI, it has the entire suite of the AI-based features like Live Translate, Notes Assist, Interpreter, Chat Asist, Transcript Assist, Circle to Search, Generative Edit suggestions for photos and videos, generative edits and more.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra runs One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 and the company has ensure seven years of software update and seven years of security updates with the phone.
Galaxy S24 Ultra is backed by a 5000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging, 15W fast wireless charging and wireless powershare.
