Apple Vision Pro will go on sale in the US on February 2. Pre-orders of the spatial computing device start on January 19. Now, a new report suggests that the iPhone-maker may start offering its first-ever mixed reality headset to markets outside the US before its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in 2024. Just like every year, the company’s annual developer conference is expected to take place in June 2024. According to a report by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company is expected to launch the Vision Pro in global markets before the event.
Apple to ask global developers to build apps for Vision Pro
Kuo claims that Apple is reportedly planning to share new details about visionOS with developers from around the globe at WWDC 2024. The company needs to make the Vision Pro headset available in markets outside the US before the event, to make this push toward global developers worthwhile, the report notes.
The report explains that making the headset available internationally before WWDC will help Apple to promote a “global development ecosystem” for ‌visionOS‌.

The company also wants to ensure that the sales process goes smoothly before it expands and to provide enough time to improve its software to be suitable for other countries as well.
Kuo claims that once these issues have been resolved, the Vision Pro is expected to go on sale in more countries.
Earlier this month, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also said that the launch of Vision Pro in other countries around the world will not “actually be that much later” than its release in the US. Apple is reportedly considering the UK, China and Canada as the next markets to receive the product.
It is not clear how much supply will be available in the rest of the world by the time the Vision Pro goes on sale outside the United States. With only 80,000 units expected to be available upon launch in the US. The headset is expected to sell out quickly and thereafter be subject to long shipping delays.
