Paytm is offering a flat 10 percent discount on flight tickets to Lakshadweep. Users can avail of this offer using the promo code ‘FLYLAKSHA’. The company claims that this move comes after searches for travel to Lakshadweep on Paytm surged 50-fold. Paytm has also updated its app to announce that the company will provide a “free cancellation” feature by allowing users to modify their travel plans without incurring cancellation fee.Flights to Lakshadweep’s only airport in Agatti Island can be accessed via Cochin International Airport. Air India is the only carrier that operates flights to Lakshadweep.

Paytm FlyLaksha offer: Terms and conditions

Paytm users can avail flat 10% instant discount up to Rs 1500 on flight ticket bookings with the promo code FLYLAKSHA. However, the minimum order value for flight ticket booking is Rs 3000. This offer will be valid only for Lakshadweep airport and is valid once per customer, per month.
Instant discount calculated will be exclusive of the insurance amount. Convenience fees or ancillaries purchased (Meals, Insurance, Baggage, etc.) will be excluded from the total booking amount for instant discount calculation. Cancelled orders will not be eligible for instant discount. Paytm will also reserve its right to withdraw and/or alter any terms and conditions of the offer at any time without prior notice.

Surge in searches for Lakshadweep

After Prime Narendra Modi visited the beach destination, travel platforms and tour operators have been reportedly seeing a spike in searches and enquiries for Lakshadweep.

Following PM Modi’s recent visit to Lakshadweep, a social media post by a Maldives minister also ignited a controversy. PM Modi’s visit was aimed to boost tourism in Indian islands.
Meanwhile, Maldives minister Abdulla Mahzoom Majid claimed India is shifting focus from the Maldives by promoting Lakshadweep as another tourist spot. Majid also said India faces significant challenges in competing with the Maldives in beach tourism.
