Mark your calendars, tech enthusiasts! Apple’s highly anticipated Vision Pro spatial computing headset is hitting store shelves on February 2, 2024. This marks a pivotal moment for Apple, not only being their first major product launch in nine years but also venturing into the burgeoning realm of AR/VR technology.
The Vision Pro promises to revolutionise how we interact with the world around us.Boasting cutting-edge features like dual high-resolution displays, advanced eye tracking, and spatial audio, it seamlessly blends augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences.
“The era of spatial computing has arrived,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced consumer electronics device ever created. Its revolutionary and magical user interface will redefine how we connect, create, and explore.”
However, this leap into the future comes at a premium price. The Vision Pro starts at a hefty $3,499, positioning itself as a luxury device aimed at early adopters and professionals. But what do you get for forking out that much cash? According to a report by 9to5Mac, here’s what you get inside the box:
What’s inside the box
Inside the sleek packaging of the Vision Pro, you’ll find two customisable headband options — the Solo Knit Band for a minimalist feel and the Dual Loop Band for added stability. To ensure a perfect fit, the box also includes light seals and comfortable cushions. The Light Seal is made of a soft textile and comes in a range of shapes and sizes, flexing to conform to a user’s face for a precise fit.
A protective cover safeguards the front of the device, while buyers will also get the ‘famous’ Apple polishing cloth. Powering the experience is a dedicated battery, with a USB-C cable and adapter ensuring convenient charging.
Apple Vision Pro will be available initially only in the US with other regions expected to be added later.
