Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a software and mobile application on Friday to simplify the process of filing and resolving complaints and appeals in the State Information Commission. According toi PTI, the initiative aims to make it easier for citizens to access the commission’s services online without the need to physically visit its office.
Adityanath emphasized the transformative power of technology in improving people’s lives during the launch event at the RTI Bhawan. With the introduction of this software and mobile application, individuals can now conveniently file their complaints and appeals electronically, eliminating the need for in-person visits.
The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s efforts to tackle corruption and ensure the welfare of its citizens. Upon assuming office, his government conducted simultaneous raids on all 80,000 fair price ration shops in the state, which led to the exposure of 30 lakh fake ration cards. This action was taken to address the food grain scam that had deprived the underprivileged of their essential food supplies in various districts prior to 2017.
Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country to have its own software and app for the State Information Commission, enabling prompt resolution of complaints. Adityanath expressed confidence that by utilizing technology effectively and fostering better teamwork, all pending cases will be resolved in a timely manner. Over the past three years, the UP Information Commission has successfully resolved more than 1,10,000 cases, showcasing its commitment to efficient and effective governance.
