Sunny Deol, known for the success of Gadar 2, talked about parenting in an exclusive chat with NDTV. He shared insights into his father Dharmendra‘s parenting style and revealed that they come from a strict family background. Sunny mentioned that during his school days, he wasn’t allowed to go out after 7-8 pm, and he followed a similar approach with his sons Karan and Rajveer.Sunny emphasized being strict, mentioning that he didn’t allow his kids to have a cell phone until they finished school.
Sunny Deol further discussed his relationship with his father, Dharmendra, stating, “The fear factor should be there. My dad was a fear factor to me. If dad comes here, I will just get up and move and be completely shut. It is the way it is. That’s the beauty of it.” Sunny emphasized the importance of a healthy respect and fear element in the parent-child relationship, highlighting the impact it can have in maintaining discipline and a strong bond.
In addition to discussing his father Dharmendra, Sunny Deol also shared his thoughts on his younger sibling Bobby, who recently starred in the blockbuster film Animal. In an interview with NDTV’s Abira Dhar, Sunny expressed his joy for Bobby, stating, “I am so happy for him. It was high time it happened, and people were not fair to him. I can say that. I cannot talk about myself but I can talk about him. Because he is nice, people said he is such a sweet boy and they will say all those things and nobody is doing anything.” Sunny added, “I mean, they don’t have to do anything, but they know his capacity. They know everything about him, but I feel somehow nobody wanted to let it happen.”
