Madhya Pradesh CM keeps home; deputy CMs get finance, health | India News – Times of India

BHOPAL: Six days after his 28 ministers were sworn in, MP CM Moan Yadav allocated portfolios to them late Saturday, retaining home, PR, industrial policy and mining with himself.
Finance was entrusted to deputy CM Jagdish Devda, who held the same job in the Shivraj cabinet. The other deputy CM, Rajendra Shukla, was allocated health.
Tulsi Silawat was given water resources and Pradyuman Singh Tomar energy.Both are supporters of Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
They were part of the Shivraj cabinet with the same portfolios. Govind Singh Rajput, another Scindia supporter who held revenue and transport earlier, was entrusted with food, civil supplies and consumer protection.
Former BJP general secretary and senior leader Kailash Vijayvargiya was given urban administration and housing, besides legislative affairs.
CM Yadav has done a balancing act by giving some important portfolios to senior and experienced members and in doing so, has also kept in mind the regional balance.
Among MPs who became MLAs and then state ministers, Prahlad Patel – earlier a Union minister – was allocated panchayat and rural development. Former BJP state chief Rakesh Singh was given public works. Another of the MPs, Uday Pratap Singh, was entrusted with school education and transport.
Bhopal MLA Vishvas Sarang, who was medical education minister in the Chouhan dispensation, has got sports and youth welfare. Govindpura MLA Krishna Gaur was given the departments of OBC and minority welfare.
