Chinese smartphone maker Vivo launched its latest flagship X100 series for its home market in November. The latest lineup includes two models — the Vivo X100 and the X100 Pro smartphones. Both phones feature the Dimensity 9300 chip and a curved-edge OLED display. The company is now reportedly working on the more affordable Vivo X100s smartphone which may be later added to the new series.
Apart from this, Vivo is also reportedly working on the X100 Pro+ model and may launch it soon. The Pro+ variant is likely to be the top-of-the-line variant in the lineup and is expected to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto lens which may support 200x digital zoom.
The company is also expected to hold an event in China in the first quarter of 2024. At this event, Vivo may announce the Vivo X100s and the X100 Pro+ smartphones.
Vivo X100s: What to expect
According to a report by GizmoChina, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed a few details about the upcoming smartphone on Chinese social media platform Weibo. If the rumours are true, the Vivo X100s won’t have a curved display like the other models in the lineup.

The Vivo X100s is expected to sport a 6.78-inch BOE 8T OLED panel that may support a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the X100s may likely pack the same Dimensity 9300 chip as the Vivo X100.

For photography, the X100s is rumoured to house a triple-rear camera setup which may include a 50MP Sony IMX920 main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), paired with another 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The report also claims that the smartphone may inherit the X100’s 32MP front-facing shooter for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone is also likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery unit that may support 120W or 80W fast charging.
