JAMMU: A low-intensity blast rocked the premises of the Armed Police Camp in Surankote area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district late Wednesday night. None was injured in the explosion.
A police spokesperson said the “low-impact” blast occurred in the parking area of the MES Building, where the Armed Battalionof J&K Police had been camping. The windowpanes of some parked vehicles were damaged in the impact.“The nature of the explosion is being investigated,” said the spokesperson.
Earlier on November 15, a blast near a temple in Surankote triggered panic among locals. The explosion was the result of a grenade thrown by an unidentified terrorist.
