NEW DELHI: Ahead of what is expected to be his last Test series, Australian opener David Warner went down memory lane and shared a heartwarming note on social media on Wednesday.
Warner relived the moments of receiving his baggy green cap of Australia and how it holds special significance for him. The left-handed batter sent across a special message to the young kids to always dream big like he did.
“To all the young kids out there, this was me when I first received my baggy and flick left to now.”

Warner was at the centre of criticism as former teammate Mitchell Johnson questioned why he should get a “hero’s send-off” given his recent poor Test form, while bringing up his central role in the “Sandpaper-gate” ball-tampering scandal in 2018.
The first Test against Pakistan starts in Perth on Thursday before moving to Melbourne and then Sydney, where Warner is hoping for an emotional farewell in front of his home fans.
