Streaming platform Netflix went down for thousands of users in several parts of the world on Monday, according to reports. The outage tracking website Downdetector.com too showed reports of Netflix not working for some users. Users reported issues on Netflix app and website both.
The Downdetector website tracks live outages across the web by collating status reports from several sources including users.As per the website, there were more than 17,000 reports of outages, as of 18:41 ET.
Reports on social media websites suggest that people worldwide experienced trouble connecting to Netflix with an error code “tvq-pb-101” appearing for many. Incidentally, Netflix’s status page did not show any issues for several couple hours. So far, Netflix hasn’t commented on the specific reason behind the outage.
