Today marks Dilip Kumar the birth anniversary of one of the greatest actors in the Hindi film industry. He ruled the Indian cinema, decades ago.
Now, while having a conversation with a leading daily Saira Banutalked about her love life with her husband, veteran actor Dilip Kumar. Reported in Pinkvilla, the actress said that she saw him for the first time in person at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios.He was wearing a plain white shirt, white trousers, and white chappals. He had such lovely free-flowing hair, just in sync with his song ‘Ude Zulfen Jab Jab Teri’ from ‘Naya Daur’.
Saira Banu further revealed that it was a party by Mehboob Khan and she met him. She fell in love with him almost instantly. She was just 12 then. Even if he was leaning on a chair or standing against a wall, you could easily make out that this is a man of different fiber and superior material.
Born in 1922, Dilip Kumar started his acting career in 1944 with the movie ‘Jwar Bhata’. Later, he was seen in ‘Jugnu’, ‘Andaz’, ‘Aan’, ‘Daag’, Azaad’, ‘Madhumati’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Kohinoor’, ‘Mughal-E-Azam’, ‘Gunga Jumna’ and ‘Naya Daur’, among others. The actor passed away on 7 July 2021.
