NEW DELHI: In a post on LinkedIn, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended an invitation to tech enthusiasts, innovators, and stakeholders worldwide, urging them to join the upcoming Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit 2023. Highlighting the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across various sectors, the Prime Minister emphasized its positive influence on technology, innovation, healthcare, education, agriculture, and more.

Scheduled to kick off on December 12, the Summit promises to be a fascinating exploration of AI advancements and innovations. PM Modi expressed confidence that participants would find immense value in being part of this vibrant platform dedicated to celebrating the strides in AI and fostering global collaboration.

Reflecting on the current era, the PM acknowledged the rapid pace of innovation and the remarkable achievements made possible by human endeavor. He underscored AI as a pivotal area where applications are expanding exponentially, driven by the contributions of a new generation of young, brilliant minds.
“India, as one of the youngest nations with a vibrant start-up ecosystem and a talented workforce, is poised to be an active contributor to the evolution of AI as the world leaps into a not-so-distant future,” the PM wrote. He also highlighted India’s commitment to providing scalable, secure, affordable, sustainable, and replicable solutions on a global scale. He cited the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiative as an exemplary effort in this direction.
Emphasizing India’s commitment to inclusive growth, the Prime Minister affirmed that when India grows, it ensures an equitable and inclusive model of development. He said that India’s approach to AI aligns with its broader principles, aiming to enable universal understanding and create a conducive environment for AI’s responsible and beneficial use.
Drawing attention to India’s role as a co-founder of GPAI, PM Modi said the forum’s significance in guiding the responsible development and use of AI. India, as the lead chair of GPAI, expressed its dedication to technology, particularly AI, for the welfare of people, emphasizing a commitment to Safe and Trusted AI.
The upcoming Summit promises a rich agenda, featuring diverse sessions, including the AI Expo showcasing 150 startups and their innovative strengths.
