Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Sam Bahadur‘ released on Friday with ‘Animal‘ and the film has been slowly paving its way in the hearts of the audience. It released in lesser number of screens than ‘Animal’ but it has managed to see a huge growth on Saturday and Sunday.
The Saturday numbers saw a growth of almost 50 percent as it made Rs 9 crore on Day 2. Meanwhile, on Sunday, the film has managed to score double digit numbers.’Sam Bahadur’ made Rs 10 crore nett on Sunday and that gave the film a very healthy weekend of around Rs 25 crore. This is considered quite good considering the fact that ‘Animal’ is just roaring and how! But the Monday figures will play a huge role in determinng the film’s fate.
Vicky Kaushal was seen at a theatre on Sunday which was packed. He interacted with fans who told him that he’ll surely get a National Award for this. Meanwhile, he responded and said, “Aap log aaye picture dekhne and for an actor it’s the big achievement to see a packed hall.”
Well, hoping that with this word of mouth, ‘Sam Bahadur’ manages to make a decent number in the next few days and continues its hold at the box office.
Meanwhile, ‘Animal’ has crossed Rs 200 crore nett in all languages over the weekend and that makes the film the second higest weekend grosser after ‘Jawan’. The advance bookings of Monday also look strong for the Ranbir Kapoor starrer.
