How Bobby Deol transformed into his beastly avatar for Animal: gave up sweets, trained hard for four months
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, if there is one actor who is drawing all the accolades for the trailer of Animal is Bobby Deol, in his muscular, chic avatar. Of course, to achieve such a frame, the actor trained really hard, as recently revealed by his personal trainer, Prajwal Shetty.

Prajwal told India Today that director Sandeep Reddy Vangahad already told him that in this film, Bobby should look broader and bigger than Ranbir, and that his physique needed to exhibit greater muscularity and size.

Saying that they diligently adhered to these instructions, Prajwal revealed that their efforts were so intense that his body fat percentage reduced to 12 and considering his excellent body mass intake, his weight fluctuated between 85 to 90.

‘Animal’ trailer gets released, netizens shower love, Ranbir Kapoor’s powerful action and villain Bobby Deol will take your breath away!

Prajwal further added that the director was highly pleased with Bobby’s physical transformation, and told him that he had done a remarkable job on his physique. Prajwal also shared that Bobby is not a foodie, but loves sweets, but that too he gave up for four months.
Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his character in the movie and even compared it to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Arjun Reddy’ starring Vijay Deverakonda in Telugu and Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Kabir Singh’ in Hindi. According to the actor, he was drawn to the film because of its intense storyline. He also added that Vanga’s previous films were both powerful and impactful. However, his decision to do ‘Animal’ was not solely based on them. For him, it was more about the script, the character, and the opportunity to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Talking about what he most liked about Sandeep’s protagonists, Ranbir added that like Shahid Kapoor in ‘Kabir Singh’ and Vijay Deverakonda in ‘Arjun Reddy’, his character in ‘Animal’ is also ‘tough and uncompromising’. However, what sets him apart is the layers of complexity and depth that have been woven into his character.

Elaborating further, Rambir added that while he may exhibit strength and determination, there are also moments of vulnerability and internal conflict that make him more relatable and human. So while his character in Animal shares some similarities with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s previous protagonists, there are also distinct differences that make him stand out in his own right.
‘Animal’ is slated to hit the theatres on December 1.
