During the launch event, Ranbir revealed that his daughter Raha was born during the shoot of the film and since his character was demanding and intense, he had to switch on and off when he would go back home from the shoot.
“The switching on and switching off part was very important because when I was starting Animal, I became a father. Raha was born. I was going on set, doing all these things and going home and seeing my daughter was surreal. When you’re inspired, aapka kaam aasani se ho jaata hai (When you’re inspired, you are able to do your work easily). We wrapped the film in almost 100 days,” he said.
‘Animal’ trailer out; Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol’s high-octane action sequence impresses fans
Ranbir further added that he is a detached person and never takes his character home because he feels it’s not fair for his loved ones. “Agar main ghar jaake aise act karta toh meri biwi mujhe maarti (If I acted like this at home, my wife would have beaten me up),” he said.
While talking to the media, Ranbir quipped about the film’s long duration and the theme of bond between a father and son and said, “This is an adult-rated Khushi Kabhi Kabhie Gham.”
The trailer also reveals that Rashmika will be Ranbir’s love interest while Bobby plays the antagonist in the film, who makes a stylish yet menacing appearance. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on December 1 and will be released in 5 languages- Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. It will be facing a big Bollywood clash with Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film Sam Bahadur.
